Higher income is associated with greater happiness for most

For most people, a higher income is associated with a greater level of happiness. Researchers found that for 80-85% of people sampled, happiness increased correlative to their income. However, there is a subset of about 15% of the population for whom income ceases to correlate with happiness at about $100,000 of annual income.
